Program

8:00 am Pick up from the hotel or airport. Start time may vary, generally we start at 8 in the morning but if they you have a flight that arrives before or after 8:00 am it must be advised to us to take our measures of the case and be able to coordinate the transfer and staff.

Road trip to the city of Nauta, the adventure starts from the hotel or airport since the road is the limit of one of the reserves with more number of animal species in the South American continent we refer to the Alpahuayo Mishana reserve due to this reason we can see many species of plants, trees, birds and occasionally monkeys.

The road trip takes an average of an hour and a half to reach the city of Nauta where our boat awaits us to navigate Marañon and Nauta Caño river where we will stop for 15 minutes at the first park ranger station to show our credentials and respective permits.

After the respective check in we go deeper into the reserve and having more contacts with wildlife we can almost always see dolphins at the entrance with fish that are sometimes jumping, birds in search of fruits and insects and noisy monkeys competing for the best fruits of the trees .

Our first lunch will be picnic style which can be typical food, sandwiches and / or fruits.

We will arrive at our camp and  depending on the season from June to December it is easier to be able to find terra firme and to be able to set our camps at the same time to be able to do more hiking and fishing activities.

From the end of December to the end of May the rivers are characterized by rising more level and having little soil or firm ground for camping or walking. But don’t worry that we are prepared for everything; We have hammocks with mosquito nets to tie in any safe tree that will allow us to sleep is one of the nights that you will remember most in your life.

Both times are very interesting; In the dry season, our options for seeing animals are the best, such as: ospreys, snakes, anacondas, river wolves, turtles among other species.

In the time of rising of the rivers it is also lovely since the rivers are higher and we explore near the treetops giving us a good view of birds and monkeys, many streams and lagoons that are not possible in the dry season because in the dry season ,this time they are, we explore the jungle flooded with birds and monkeys that cross over our canoes but you like to walk a lot but if you want to see a lot this is for you.

After dinner we go on a night safari and see what Mother Nature offers us occasionally we can see alligators, night birds, snakes, sloths taking advantage of the night as it is safer and less hot.

Overnight in the jungle.
