Pacaya Samiria 04 days and 03 nights
Explore the largest national reserve in Peru; in 04 days and 03 nights we can explore areas that are very rich in flora and fauna. The Pacaya Samiria reserve can be visited all year. Jungle Reps and Expeditions offers you the most adventurous expeditions.
Start of the program 8:00 am
End of the 19:00 program at the hotel or airport
If your arrival or departure flights to and from Lima or Cusco, it must be coordinated at the time of booking and also to the guide during the expedition.
Day 01
The adventure starts from the moment of reception at the hotel or airport. And we leave for Nauta on the road. The trip takes approximately 02 hours. After the boarding process of the food we proceed to the boarding of the explorers. We sail the Marañon river for approximately 3 hours.
Arrival at the Santo Domingo ranger station to show our credentials and continue the exploration.
Lunch on board to take advantage of navigation time.
Arrival to the Yanayacu Pucate basin. These rivers are characterized by having the healthiest populations of gray and pink dolphins, alligators, giant river otters, different species of primates, birds, capybaras, anacondas and jaguars.
Our exploration sites have been selected for a long time ago. These places are destined for research and to succeed in our constant goal which is the observation of animals in their purest and most natural state.
Setting of our camp where we will spend the first night. And after our dinner we set out on a night safari and see nocturnal wildlife such as birds, bats, frogs, alligators, sloths, and occasionally capybaras and other larger mammals.
Night of Amazonian legends. Our guide will be more than happy to tell the legends of the Amazon.
Day 02
Dawn in the jungle with the song of birds and howls of howler monkeys. Explore before breakfast to see the birds, primates and other animals getting the first meal of the day. Return to our camp for breakfast. After breakfast we list all our belongings to continue exploring the furthest places from the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
Our goal is to reach a place full of magic and mystery because of the abundance of wildlife. The Renacal is an area that owes its name to a tree that is used by Amazonian shamans to perform different types of rituals. At the same time this tree houses different types of animals to live and sometimes we have been able to find anacondas to climb to look for bird nests and iguanas to feed. Here we will spend the night. In this place there are trails to see birds, monkeys, turtles and anacondas. In most of our walk we can find anacondas especially in the months of June to October.
After dinner we will take the path that will take us around the lagoon to look for alligators and frogs that live in this wonderful lake.
Day 03
Sunrise in the jungle and exploration before breakfast. After breakfast we explore upstream and then come to the rhythm of the current without making much noise since these trips have been very successful because it allows the animals to approach and we can have a better view. Possible fishing for piranhas and other species.
After the exploration we will go down to the entrance of the Japan creek where we will spend the night. This creek is characterized by having two river wolf families that go fishing and interact with each other. These mammals are not easy to see but our guides with the help of park guards have developed techniques that allow us to locate where their burrows are.
Night in Japan creek and night safari.
Day 04
Dawn in Japan creek and exploration at dawn. Breakfast and after breakfast brief exploration of the Japan creek to look for wildlife that lives around. And after lunch we get ready to return to the city of Nauta and then to the city of Iquitos.
Arrival in the city of Nauta at 4 in the afternoon. And I leave the city of Iquitos.
